Are you trimming the under side of the body?
This one I did. I normally don't though. Are you trimming the under side of the body?
Yes, I started the ‘Salon’ on WFF based on a similar activity on a photography community I frequented back in the day. This was fun on the WFF so i'm stoked to see it going again. Nice work!
Mostly rabbit or?? I had multiple takes several times day before yesterday fishing a simiseal leech (intermediate line). I did manage to hook a couple of the fish that (I think) hit the fly a couple of times; they were smaller fish.... An exception to that has been Lahontans at Lenore. I like your technique of a strip and then slack.......for me, that's hard to do. I just want to keep stripping in.Since this slapped-together one was so successful last week on stillwater trout

This is unweighted, fished on sinking or intermediate. The technique that worked best was trolling with twitches, or casting & stripping. Gave it a couple short, fast strips after the initial bump, which usually got it bumped harder, then a strip and slacked, whereupon it usually got eaten hard.
Yep - bunny strip as the main component. They liked the pink & lavendar, so I figured they were nasty cannibals and added the olive.Mostly rabbit or?? Nice! How's the hook up ratio with that VS conventional hook? Any differences?View attachment 39980
