What's in your vise?

Playing around with some double hackle bodies. I used to catch a lot of fish in lakes with this type of pattern.
Will see if salty cutts like them.

I fish that type of stuff all the time in the salt. Some of my favorite pattern types! @Kfish had me out chasing musky Sunday. Saturday was dedicated to chasing coho still. My mind is starting to wander to SRC though and all the cool funky stuff you can tie to catch them on. Awesome time of year!

For Tiger Musky. Targeted them for the first time this weekend and although no fish were caught, eyes were put on one leisurely swimming past the bow of the boat.

Goal #1: catch a musky
Goal #2: catch a musky on one of my musty musky patterns before @Kfish catches one on the true works of art he is pitching right next to me .



Edit: Lou was right. This fly needed some big eyes. I also decided it needed a schlappen head!

My money is on that white/flash one on the right.

The Europeans like double hackles for their sea-trout flies too. I dig those little pink hot spots!

Thanks very much, Scudley. It’s an amazing look. I’ll see if I can find some, and then learn how to use it.
I want to get into white patterns, because my daughter does very, very well with white, and she outfishes old me all the time.

My GITD Shrimp is fun one to tie and works real well. Hard takes!
Tied on Ahrex NS 156 #10 which is a very nice shrimp hook. Very strong.
