But is it a LAKE emerger?
Love the klinkhammer!Admittedly I tied these for stream fishing. And they have really worked well for me. I don't see why they wouldn't work as a Callibaetis emerger for lakes.

Okey dokey, Ira. I’m the one who doesn’t get it.
Who’s messing with who?
* Too bad *. And they never get blown off the reeds? That's it. I'm tying a reed pattern next. I'm so stupid! I need my two rod still water license so I can present both patterns properly. Please stand by for an updated follow up post.I completely agree, to bad damsels crawl up on reeds and other things to emerge. I’d still fish it as a dry.
Just saying that damsels don’t emerge on the water this way. They also are not really blown off the reeds either. I would, fish that beautiful creation of yours boldly and with confidence.* Too bad *. And they never get blown off the reeds? That's it. I'm tying a reed pattern next. I'm so stupid! Stonedfish, as the resident (tongue in cheek)“expert” on such things, I would call these emerges, and why not, I’ll call them emergers as well.Odd thread…..
Not sure if raccoons or parachutes with a chironomid body would be considered ”emerges”.

I'm going to have to try your technique for tying the "raccoon" - I've always used deer hair and sometimes that's a one fish fly. Heck yes, they're emergers.Odd thread…..

A foam-backed Raccoon variant is one of my stillwater fishing the film staples. Good pattern, great modification!Odd thread…..

You better win, because you used at least $8 worth of resin on it.I dunno, I think that my early Triassic period 6/0 killer midge emerger has to be in the lead here. I even added a small bubble hear the head to mimic a small bubble....
What does @Taxon say? Perhaps we are suffering spending too much time indoors. What say you, @Mark Melton and @Taxon : is a chironomid pupa a nymph?
Perhaps some are suffering. My heart goes out to them. What does @Taxon say? Perhaps we are suffering spending too much time indoors.
