    Favorite bass rod weight, what you got?

    I have 2 6s, a 7 and an 8 along with the rest of my gear loaded in the car right now. Can't wait for Friday! Normally just 2 6s and an 8, but I added a 7 to the quiver last year and think it will be my main rod this season.

    Thanks. Yes, that is a medium sized bluefin. The biggest I caught on the flats. Easy to catch bigger ones trolling flies while motoring from one flat to the next.

    Bring really heavy shrimp patterns to get down fast to the 3 - 5 foot deep rocks along the beach between waves. I caught various goatfish, peacock groupers (lamest fight ever) and even a bonefish blind casting to this type of structure along several different beaches. The beach pic below shows...
