Not sure what emoticon to use for this, sad, heart, thumbs up? So sorry for your loss, but you gave this pup a wonderful life that sounds like he would not have had otherwise. Beautiful looking pup.

Well stated & I extend my condolences also, @Aufwuchs .

My dog Cinnamon. When we got him he was matted, covered in scabs, and scared of anybody who came near him. We had him for a whole year before I was able to even touch him, but he eventually became our devoted buddy. He died last year. This is the first time I have been without a dog and/or cat since I was about five years old.
It’s always hard to lose them. You gave him a better life, and by the sounds of it he did the same for you. Hard to ask for more than that, good on you.

Jackson is 8 now. The first pic is him at 10 weeks. He's never been the kind of dog you want to take fishing, though I've tried a couple of times. He gets into everything and keeps you from actually fishing. He's a much better tennis player. Part boxer we think. He recently got some new kitty friends that he's starting to warm up to...or at least tolerating.

So, last week (maybe 2 weeks ago) I mentioned that for Maggie, our Golden, she's happiest when she's wet ( #238 ). Now Coco, she likes the water, but she's happiest on the range, working cattle. This morning, moving strays back to the herd:

Love watching awesome pups do what they were born to do, and what they love doing most.

I wish I loved working as much as dogs do.
