Change is hard...Football has never been known for it's dignity with over sized goons bashing each others brains out, breaking bones, tearing ligaments and incurring life long ailments that many have to deal with. I first got interested in the game back in the '40's when Johnny Lujack was the most famous player in the land, I have been around since the first games were televised and have seen all of the greats that have played in the modern area, the first Super Bowl, etc, etc. The game I see today lacks any semblance of dignity with all of the celebratory bullshit going on after almost every play and end zone insanity taking place after every score. End zone celebrations are sophomoric at best but are usually more like kindergarten play for pre-schoolers. To me those celebrations are a bad form of unsportsmanlike conduct and rushing an entire defensive or offensive team into the end zone should be flagged as such. The league has apparently given it's blessing to this nonsense and now has to live with the tasteless results.
Baseball has it's bat flip too-another bush league mockery of the other team but at least the perpetrator runs the risk of a 98 mph fastball in the ribs on his next at bat...
While the individual stupidity of a player shoving a trainer is something new and should be dealt with on the same level as shoving a ref, there is some collective stupidity that just drives me nuts. First of all "Illegal Man Downfield"! I have seen some wonderful plays negated by this nebulous penalty of a lineman stepping over an imaginary line. WTF-is a 312# lineman supposed to choreograph his steps while waiting for another 300# opposing player to knock him on his ass? It's a chaotic game and IMD seems like petty nit picking in the big picture.
And the other change that needs to be made is 10 yard penalties for holding. C'mon man! There is holding on every play and the punishment exceeds the crime. Five yards is penalty enough since it will probably happen again on the next play. Finally, the NFL-despite all the camera angles-still can't always determine when a catch is a catch or a touchdown is a touchdown. Some referees are just incompetent despite all the tools at their disposal, some love to throw flags, others ignore obvious calls. In yesterday's Buffalo game there were no flags in the first 3 quarters. Imagine a Shawn Hochuli crew with no penalties in 3 quarters! I know, you can't.....
Brady was the 6th round…Maybe, maybe not. Purdy was pick number 262!
Or you know, look at life with glass half full and cheer for the team you likeCollege football is over, all that is left is Cowboys hate....

Yeah, The QB from Ohio state,Picking 5th hurts a little as Jalen Carter and Will Anderson will probably be off the board. I wonder if they may engineer a trade for a later 1st rounder, unless they're in love with someone at 5.
I was also thinking Pete has done well in a lot of these games over the years. it's sort of a trap game for San FranciscoI think that Pete has enough tape on this kid Purdy now. I am not going to call it but I will say. I will not be surprised if Pete ends up with the last laugh.
Yea...I'll bet no one has thought of that before! They need to get after McCaffery and pressure the young QB
Well I guess we’ll seeYea...I'll bet no one has thought of that before!
Then I guess the Seahawks better score a lot of touchdowns rather than relying on field goals.Mother Nauture is gonna play a factor....
........98 percent chance of precipitation (and 1.30 inches of rain) during the day with winds around 14 MPH and gusts up to 29 MPH, with a “significant risk of power outages and flooding.”
Weather reports vary a bit but the main thing it is going to be wet, windy, and messy!
