Who got fishing toys for Christmas?

alpaka socks for me....oh yeah!

honestly, we tend to donate money to a handful of certain charities rather than giving each other gifts we don't necessarily need. That said, I still got wifey a gift card to Powell's.

I did get a few fishing books I had requested.

One of my girls made me a 'Fishing Fly' for my gift. This was the first thing she thrust in my face and had me open when I got home from the hospital.

This was probably my most expensive gift and it will last a lifetime. https://www.cryolife.com/products/on-x-heart-valves/

I was very very very very very very happy they got this brand and size in me instead of a St. Jude. Quite an interesting read about them and how they never wear out and after time I can use less bloodthinning medicine.

I do that with my family as well. We came to the conclusion we were mostly just swapping gift cards. Donations to favorite charities seemed like a better way to go about things. Except the kids. They get cash or something they asked for.

With a little help, my father in law hooked it up. I borrowed this book off a friend shortly after it came out, glad to be revisiting this classic.

That's basically where we're at too. I mean, what we need, we already have....not a bad idea to give to organizations that will help others with what they need....

Kind of fishing related. On a whim I saw an add for the Groove belt and found on Thanksgiving day they were buy one get one free! Expensive but a great deal.. they claimed to be the best belt ever.. Yada Yada yada..

Got them a week or so later and they really are good!! Looks like just a regular web belt but part of it stretches a little and once it's adjusted it's easy to clip / unclip.. adjusting took a little time and they're wider than I usually like, but they are really nice!!

Nice for keeping the tummy tucked in so ya look nice n slim while out on the water.. :ROFLMAO:

Heck yeah!!!!!!!

Anyone get any interesting fishing related toys for Christmas (or whichever winter holiday you celebrate)?

I received a very nice Mustang auto inflate pfd which is going to be much less sweaty to wear fishing bass this summer than my foam pfd.

Anyone else have cool surprises under the tree?
Identical to the one I have. I love it. You hardly know you have it on.

Haha mine too but with a bat refuge! Then Jack Russell refuge…
We made another modest donation to World Central Kitchen. I think they are doing great work.

I found a great deal on a used Raven Matrix centerpin reel that I purchased so that I won’t stress dinging up my Islander. I really need to stop buying fancy reels…

That was my fishing birthday/Xmas gift to myself.
