Puget Sound

Much nicer pics then I can get on my iPhone.
Thank you. Just an Olympus TG-6 that I picked up based on good reviews from others. I've been very happy with mine.

Where are the fish?
You got me! My only good grab of the day was on the "last cast" before I had to head home for my daughter's soccer game. Didn't stick even with a two-handed strip set and stinger setup. C'est la Coho.

I thought we might have a epic sunset with the smoke, but it is so thick it pretty much drowned out the sun.
One person enjoying the evening wetting a line.

I was out last night as well. Went looking for salmon, wind was a bit rough to cast a fly. But, as it calmed down, I found some cutthroat in near some bulkheads at high tide. After catching a season full of dinks, it was nice getting into a couple nice ones. Got cool out there once the sun disappeared in the smoke.

Fished from 6:00 until 8:30 this morning.
A lot more wind then forecast and some unexpected rain.
Nobody home, but still nice to start the day on the water.

Went 1-2 today. Got the first around 6:30 AM so was hoping for a great day. Nothing again until a after beach change. Got whacked in the calm salad @copperJon references above. It was a cool take, about 15 feet out. Pretty visual, thump and then that slow roll right below the surface coho often do. Solid fish but the hooked popped when it took its first real run.

Fish from this morning.

Sunrise was not quite as spectacular as yesterday with all the clouds.

Slow weekend for sure. I observed very few fish caught by fly or gear guys outside of two fly guys standing next to each other who went off yesterday morning for a spell. Outside of them, I personally observed 4-5 fish landed all weekend over 5 different beaches.

Sure was a gorgeous sunset this evening. Down at Mom's having dinner and just sat outside and ate while watching it.

Fished from 630-8am grabbed one cuttie at a mouth. Missed one coho take or it was a soft king grab, made quick commotion, spun up my reel and off.

Watched a school of salmon dip in and out, back to the sound repeatedly with haste.
