Fleece Lined Pants Back at Costco.

I noticed a significant drop in quality with the last pair that I bought. They’ve been my favorite jeans for a very long time, but need to start looking for an alternative.
I'd go with Eddie Bauer fleece lined, cozy and warm. Think this forum came up last year and not sure why folks hot on Costco. Wife says no Costco or look like everyone else in multi county.

So I checked the labels on the ones I have that shrank.

Riddell ( thought they only made football gear), Lee, Dickies, and BPS/RedHead. No Gerry .

One pair is actually flannel lined. So, despite good intentions of my spouse and since they are taking up closet space, off to Goodwill.

You seem to have a lot of issues with clothes shrinking.

Sounds like the only way to keep your old man card is to wear truly uncomfortable clothing while doing your favorite outdoor activities.
Uh, close but waistband/belt must also be secured above the belly button . . .

At 71 I am wondering what world we are in, where outdoorsmen are discussing stretchy pants.
I feel like Old Man Jim.
I'm glad this thread came up. I can add to it. When I fished in Washington in the winter time, I didn't layer up. I just put on a pair of sweats under my breathable waders with wool socks on my feet. The only stretchy pants are a pair of Wrangler Jeans that I bought. They felt comfortable. I don't like tight clothes. I guess that I don't have anymore on this subject. So I'll quit.

Only one time did I regret wearing the sweats. Was fishing the Sauk one cold winter day, and as I was wading down stream my one foot got hung up on a snag under water and down I went. I was wearing waist high waders that were cinched up tight. My top got soaked but my sweats were dry. I was fishing with Matt burke and riding in his very cold jeep. I went back to his jeep and started it up. I was quite cold on my upper body, I got no heat out of that god damn jeep. I hope he got rid of it.

God no way. It makes you look like a dork with your pants up that high. But I have seen a few old men dressed with their pants that high. There is a joke in the joke thread with an old man dressed that way.

If you look at the movies of the 1930s and 1940s everyone wore their pants nearly up to their armpits....now they wear them sagged so low their nasty underwear or buttcrack is exposed. God help you if you have to see some adult 'lost my license' yahoo on a kid sized BMX bike attired in such a fashion.

Until you go to the shoe store..... ;-)
Solved that problem years ago. Just shove my foot up the cows butt and peel the skin back....🤪

Seriously, just bought a new set of steel toed work boots. $285.!! to fit my feet. The alternative boots were $800. Employer only reimburses to 80%. And nothing above $400.

Consider yourself fortunate. Recently retired, but my employer paid a max of $180, and had a fairly exotic list of boot safety requirements.
