NFR I'm like Swimmy, but with shoes

Non-fishing related
You guys are kidding with some of these shoes right?

Monarchs? White NB?
Lemme guess, at least one pair of Kirkland jeans in the closet?

I tend to collect hoodies and t-shirts of various age, quality and public wearability (by my wife’s definition).

I think they all happen to be fantastic and wearable 100% of the time but have been told otherwise. Repeatably.
T-shirts, as they age through repeated washings and wear, acquire a certain street cred patina and unparalleled comfort. I have a difficult time ever throwing such garments out, though I know most of them elicit the "you're not going anywhere with me wearing that" comment from my wife.

When I read the title " I'm like Swimmy, but with shoes" I read it as "I like Swimmy, but with shoes".

Have not seen Swimmy without shoes, nor would I want to. Just sayin'...
I read it similarly... as "I'm like Swimmy but with shoes" and was trying to figure out if Swimmy was known for not wearing shoes.

I am not a collector of shoes, especially expensive, popular, famous branded ones.

I always follow the adage 'If the shoe fits, wear it'.

Wait a minute! Isn't Kirkland that famous Dutch fashion designer?

Too bad so sad. Many of us don't have the means to Gucci our lives
I can't wait for the "what's your favorite RV?" thread...seriously, looking forward to it.

I like hats as well. My 92 year old mom used a hat from the Oasis Resort in Maupin for protection from the sun until it literally fell apart at the seams. At 92, she doesn’t want much, but insisted that I get her a new hat from the Deschutes Angler Fly Shop. Amy Hazel helped me pick out a robin egg blue lightweight hat that Mom loves. My wife has thrown away some of my hats when they start to smell, but fortunately I have a good supply.

Your mom looks fantastic and cute in her hat. And she doesn’t look 92 at all!

runners, know your fot type -netural, supinate, pronate - and any underlying conditions such as forefoot or rearfoot varus, tarsal coalition, plantar fasciitis, etc., and match your shoe accordingly.

Or be like me and find a shoe that works for my style of running , then put in orthotics. Haven't found any running shoes that work out of the box for me.

This is a common misconception. Finding clothes that fit doesn't have to be expensive. Same goes for exercise.

Back to shoes, I'm loving my casual shoes right now. They are comfortable, can be worn with jeans, chinos, shorts, and work whether I'm heading to the golf course or meeting my dad for lunch downtown.

And don't just take it from me. I was getting my haircut the other day and this fine ass stylist in the booth next to me said "hey swimmy, I love your shoes. And they go so well with those cool ass shorts you are wearing." She then gave me the look.

But just like in fishing, the eat is the most exciting moment. She had taken the fly, I said thank you for the compliment, and went on about my business.

I'll try and grab a pic later. Shorts are important. But the shoes really tie it all together.
