Did they factor in the medical costs associated with living on a vessel loaded with covid and norovirus plague rats?Cheaper to live on a cruise ship fulltime than paying a mortgage:

A couple in their 50s live permanently on a cruise ship because it's cheaper than a mortgage
Want to live on a cruise ship permanently? A couple from Seattle, Washington recently quit their jobs to live on a boat and they have no interest in turning back.www.upworthy.com
Guess my neighborhood is an exception. Everyone works with each other to make the place good for familiies but otherwise stays out of each others way.HOA's
I could never live in a cookie cutter style packed housing development.
A neighborhood full of Karen's.....
no thanks.
It’s evil, financed evil, flipping evil. Realestate agents have replaced the age old lawyer taint with REA’s topping my list. Phone calls mail drive by’s for recon tours and harassment(my word for it) predatory is another. My oldest daughter used to refer to her $800,000 2200 sq ft split level in a planned community of cul d sacs as a shack in Brentwood CA…and that was 12 or so years ago.My daughters were up here last month from California. Talking real estate prices is like speaking different languages. They're talking about doing a $600,000 remodel on the Oakland duplex, and I'm thinking they could buy my whole house and property for less than that. My youngest tried to give me some perspective about how and why Bay Area buyers go to Seattle or Bozeman and bid up house prices in $100,000 increments. A house, just a regular ole house, priced at less than 2 million dollars is considered a bargain, maybe even a steal, in the context of their real estate world. Oy!
My nephew bought a place in Palo Alto recently (He works for Google). It is 1,000 square feet, flat roof, looks like a couple shoeboxes set next to each other. He paid $1.1 million. And that was 3 years ago! I imagine that crackerbox has doubled in value by now. It’s evil, financed evil, flipping evil. Ironically the lead story in the local is:My nephew bought a place in Palo Alto recently (He works for Google). Montana is the new Washington. Watch their fisheries erode, the water get sucked dry from ag and residential usage, and the population turn into something that will be unrecognizable to those who have lived or traveled there prior to the 2010s. Oh, and their politics and homelessness head in gross directions.Just did a quick jaunt through Bozeman. Amazing. So much building. I thought I understood the growth you're experiencing, but seeing it in person really hit home. Seems like only the beginning. With so many services being built it looks like a preparation for tons more growth.
That's exactly what the Blackfeet, Flathead, Sioux, Crow and Chippewa have been saying for the past 175 years!Montana is the new Washington. Was able to get a place in Sequim. Closes in a few weeks. Needs a lot of work/updating but, with the rent increase we were facing, the mortgage payment will be about the same. Hopefully it'll be a good location for fishing adventures to the East and West.
Welcome to the hood. I thinks it's pretty well connected. Heading east is more a pain then heading west. Ferries help a bit. You'll be as busy as you want to be.Was able to get a place in Sequim. This made me think of this song from 1962!!! Little boxes…Pete Seeger had a hit with it too. Good on your nephew though. He can retire earlier but where to?
