NBA Playoffs

The Nets really suck. When you have player's trying to run the team Instead of the front office. Things always go to hell. Look at the Lakers. Same boat different skinny water.
Spot on old man! The Lakers this year were built to compete 20 years ago, no spacing no shooting. The Nets were built to lose in any era, all offense and no D.

Love watching the Warriors, went to school with Klay and just love the way they play. Hoping for a matchup with the suns.

Not sure how many are following the NBA playoffs, but I’m pleasantly surprised that my Celtics swept the Brooklyn Nets…didn’t see that coming…
Agreed Mr. Brute. It was great to see Kyrie go down like that. I can't think of a person in the NBA who I find more disturbing. He is an amazing talent but a Point Guard must be team first and a leader. It really makes me respect LeBron more. LeBron won a title with Kyrie. No other superstar could do that. Durant can't and he is almost un-guardable.

C's look great. They are long. They defend. They share the ball. If Williams get's healthy they have a chance.

The Nets are a disaster from the general manager on down. Nash doesn't have the experience or persona to manage big super stars. They traded a head case that could actually shoot for a head case that can't even play. Brilliant. Kyrie and Kevin are 2 of the biggest crybabies and whiners in the league, it is nice to have them gone so early. Durant is his own worst enemy, his thin skin results in hurt feelings and a subsequent change of teams to appease his fragile ego. The Nets would have been way ahead if they cut Kyrie the day he refused to play for them, letting the tail wag the dog was a poor strategy.

Durant is highly respected throughout the NBA players, knows he made his bed and has to sleep in it, said as much yesterday after the game. Kyrie, however, is a brilliant baller that is also the most undependable prima donna in NBA history...and than there is 'Street Clothes' Ben Simmons, who wants to be paid like a super-star, wants to dress like a super-star, just doesn't actually want to play the game, might get his feelings hurt....absolute fraud. The Nets franchise is a smoking wreck at this period.
Go Warriors!!!

I agree.

The C's on the other hand have Smart and Tatum and Brown etc. Everyone plays defense. Everyone plays for each other. They move the ball.

I would truly love for the Warriors to come out of the West. They are another team that seems to truly want to play together. Their point guard like to distribute the ball as well. There is a pattern that develops. Defense and ball movement win in basketball unless you have a truly dominant offensive player. Then defense and that player wins (90's Bulls).

I'm digging the idea of Durant watching the Warriors roll through the playoffs without him so he could go play with his crazy flat-earther, non-vaccine buddy.

Grew up a dubs fan and although we paid some serious dues most of my life we have had an embarrassment of riches the last decade. People forget but it was mostly homegrown with some mid-range acquisitions and elevating scrubs too. Nice to see them following that model again. If they can win now while developing Poole, Kuminga, and maybe get something out of Wiseman then they could be in for a Spurs like run.

In the east I just can't see a way not to root for Giannis. The guy is just so real.

nailed it..

Tough to watch but man its good to see Boogie playing well again. Dude is a force. Gordon is a lot like Wiggins; really good in spirts and totally invisible in spurts. I think this just speaks to the mentality it takes to compete at this level.
Malone is a hell of a coach.
Glad to move on. I think the new Dubs learned how physical the playoffs are in the best way possible. On to the next...

I’m probably the only 76ers fan on this forum, grew up there, met Dr. J when I was a kid. Shook his hand … big hands!
It also means I’m hardwired to hate all NY and Boston teams, but especially the Celtics, who’ve been absolutely killing it since the all-star break.

I am on the 76ers bandwagon this year since the Sonics are already out of the playoffs…

hehe...go C's!

I tried to watch the Warriors yesterday but the score was back and forth all night long. I was pulling for them. They seem to have had a small problem with the center on Denver's team. There are nothing but big centers down the road. They just better get their shit together if they want to stay in the playoffs. I've seen better play out of them except for their last two games.

Jim, they have just recently been able to play with a full team and are coming together at last. The young kids are getting exposed to playoff basketball and finding out how different it is than the regular season. The Memphis series will be a big test to get into the next round but if Draymond stays healthy the Warrior's experience should prevail.

Getting the arrogant and dickish Nets out of the playoffs was all I wanted from the NBA so now I can go back to my first love-MLB-and just be a casual observer of the NBA.

I used to be a HUGE Sonics fan and the way they left Seattle even while being good and even while there were so many diehard fans just completely broke my heart. The media needed to step up and call a spade a spade back then when the story was the Sonics were unpopular and had no fans in Seattle. But they didn’t. Still makes me sooooooo angry. My blood is boiling now. Owners of franchises should never ever ever be able to do that. The whole thing was so obvious from the beginning and there was no stopping it.

I watch the playoffs and find a bandwagon team or two each year but that is about it. I really miss going to Sonics games in the winter when there is so little to do.

Nikola Jokic (The Joker) is arguably the best player in the league and will likely win MVP again. The Warriors won't face anyone else near his caliber and size the rest of the way. Because of injuries all season the Warriors core has not played that many games together. They are starting to gel at the right time.
