Looks yummily familiar. Back or belly loin? Pretty sure our melt-in-your-mouth camp dinner was a belly loin. The buttery texture reminded me of wahoo.

Yep, belly loin, basically a re-do of the previous night’s main entree. I mean why mess with perfection?

Could be true! Both Turkish and California Bay Laurel are pretty easy to grow around most of the more temperate parts of the PNW. I had a neighbor that had a large bay laurel bush-- a seemingly unlimited supply on demand.

I wish…but since leaving the PNW for the arid southern Nevada desert, that is not an option…nor my outdoor herb garden. I am considering an indoor herb garden like my daughter has in her apt in mid town Manhattan

Mine is damn near a tree. I cut about 6 feet and $5k worth of bay (grocery store value) off of it yearly

Are all laurel hedges edible "bay" laurel? There is a big laurel hedge between me and my neighbor and it would be great to stop buying bay leaves. But how can I tell it if is edible?
