Took her out again, shes ready for fly casting around her in the canoe this week.

Perfect morning to fish a local lake, cool and overcast.
Didn’t catch anything but she’s either given up or comfortable in the canoe now.
Only spent first 30 minutes facing me with that look. Rest of time standing, facing the bow, laying down.

She could care less about ducks. She actually doesn’t like to swim lol.
I have finally gotten her comfortable wading through rivers fishing.

Our goofy female springer Ripley just turned 9. She would have been a great upland bird dog except I quit doing that about 15 years ago. We never did boat train her - something I regret but like all springers, she loves the water and loves hanging with the grandkids.
Hah, yes! I am now training him out of trying to hold each trout in his mouth. At first after we rescued Rigby, when he did that I thought it was hilarious and encouraged him. Now we are working on unlearning that.
