Nah I just catch and release, but one day I think I might do a bluegill fish fry! I haven’t kept any fish in a long time, back in my hook and worm days haha
 
caught this guy and 30 or so of his buddies yesterday on Lake WA. Topwater was kind of slow (I didn’t get on lake until 11:30 or so) but the hungered for my bluegill special (small bugger with chartreuse body).

One of those days where I caught a fish on my first cast….then it just kept going.

As willing as the bluegill were, the massive carp I would see cruising by sporadically were….less willing. IMG_3587.jpeg

Fished a super clear lake yesterday where there were quite a few big LM who unfortunately could see me before I could see them (and were having none of it.)
But the pumpkin seeds there were cooperative and the prettiest ones I've ever caught!

Fun casting as they wanted it tight on the brush line. But if you placed it right they would explode on touch down. A couple of missed bass due to the small hook but alas a lovely evening was had
