BAMBOO PHILLIPSON POWR PAKT 9' Six Weight 3 pc with extra tip, original tube and sock. - I have fished this one for bulls on the Skagit. Great casting rod, straight cane, sound. The reel seat was replaced and upgraded. If you want a great casting, good condition bamboo for the Skagit, the Yak, sea-runs, etc this one is good quality, great casting and a good reputation without being a bank breaker.

BAMBOO HEDDON #115 PREMIER WITH THE HIGHLY SOUGHT 1-1/2F FERRULES, 8' 3 pc with extra tip, 4/5 WEIGHT. - This taper by Heddon was their lightest weight taper. It was refinished (by me) years ago, including a couple scars by a rod maker in Oregon who also replaced the original ferrules. I've fished it a lot on trout in Montana, Oregon, Washington streams. It's a pleasure to cast and one of the rods I take to the annual bamboo casting gathering to show off. All that said, the rod is prone to taking sets, or curves, in the cane, probably due to the light weight taper. It doesn't affect casting but looks "off". Remedied by occasional light heat while bending against the set then letting cool. So if this is a rod you really want, with that caveat, I'm ready to sell. If there are no takers, I'll gladly keep fishing this one. The price reflects the rod's history and condition. I mint condition this one would be closer to $1k.
