More Than a Year Later….

Coach Potter

Life of the Party
A little over a year ago my son and I did a 5 day backpack trip and I hired a cinematographer to go with us. Last week the film was finally finished and published. It was a frustrating process that took way more time than it should have but we have it forever now. The trip its self was one the best experiences of my life and this film does a pretty good job of capturing some of it. My son and I happened to be in the same town when it came out and we were able to watch it for the first time together. It's a long film...if you watch it I hope you enjoy it.

I'm looking forward to this! Thanks in advance, Coach!

I watched a few minutes of it but have a list of things to do today. I’ll enjoy watching it this evening. Thanks!

Update. Watched the whole thing. Very cool! Pretty rugged hiking all of those miles in the stream. Some very nice fish!

Wow! That was great. Shared adventures are priceless treasures.

Well done.

Good for you to share such a special trip with family! Well done to make a dream happen.

None of us had ever walked in water for that many miles. I had really bad shin splints by the evening of day 4. I didn’t anticipate that at all. It made sense considering the extended range of motion that my feet and lower legs were exposed to with the slipping on wet rock. A 5 day pack is fairly heavy and that added to it as well.

I’m glad you enjoyed watching it.

And enjoy it I did! Thank you for sharing.

Coach, how cool that you made this happen. “Lots of stuff gets talked about and doesn’t get done.” Ain’t that the truth?
Nicely shot and documented on some gorgeous water. Great fish handling. Congrats on completing the mission and the project. You’re a modern day patron of the arts!

Thanks Matt!

I hope it inspires some more dads to do something similar!

I watched the 1st third before I had to stop, and will finish today or tomorrow. It reminds me of a failed desire to organize a salmon (charter) trip with my father and older brother. I thought about it but then my brother got sick and never recovered. And my dad shortly after became pretty frail and passed a couple years later. So, good on you for making this dream happen while you can. Your son and family will never forget this milestone event.

Man…I’m sorry to hear about your brother and dad.
