2026 Swap & Shop Official Thread

I can’t add much to what was said beyond I had a great time and it was great to see familiar faces and meet new folks. I appreciate all the great food that Zak, Evan , Matt, Gary and the rest of you put on my plate. I’m glad I went
 
Yeah, that was a good time. I really appreciate the opportunity to get together with forum members in person. Special thanks to Evan for being such a great organizer, and to all the cooks. I do agree that we need to pull more people from the general fishing community in to actually buy some of the stuff being offered.
 
I'll echo what has already been said. A great time was had by us. Even Cyndy had fun and was impressed that I hang with some actually great people. I'll just let her hang on to that thought...:)

Made a good trade with Evan, scored some good stuff from Jacob and swapped knives with Zak.

We gave it the old PNWFF try. It looked juicy, flats, structure, incipient weed beds, but nada.

Briguy and Shad also got out for a bit.

We trolled from the launch to way past the group camp. Turned around at an island with real shallow water around it.

No sign of any fish. Not even a bump. About the only moment of excitement was losing the musky fly Clarkman gave me. :cry: Two hard pulls and the 20lb Maxima leader was cut clean. I'd love to think it was a musky, but it was probably just a rusty submerged Ford. Whatever it was, it was sharp.

Thanks Evan, and all who attended and contributed. It was nice to see folks in person. Next time, we should invite some fish.

I am obligated to note that due to Travers not showing up and therefore forfeiting the Shouting Contest, I am the 2026 PNWFF Shouting Champion, albeit by default. Yes, that scoundrel Travers robbed me of my righteously deserved glory of a well earned victory, but a win is a win and I’ll take it as confirmation that I’m far too intimidating to contest in person. Don’t worry; I’ll take good care of the belt this year.

I just realized that I came home with an extra cutting board. White plastic. Is anyone short one?
