The 2nd Annual PNWFF Swap & Shop: May 29–31 at Mayfield Lake

It’s time for the second go-around. We’re heading back to Mayfield Lake, WA, for the 2026 Swap & Shop, and we’re keeping it simple: bring your gear, find some new stuff, and hang out with the rest of the PNWFF community. Maybe eat something while you're there.

The event runs from May 29 through the 31, but Saturday, May 30, is the main day for the actual swap and hangouts. If you have extra rods, reels, or tying supplies taking up space, bring them down. Heck, anything vaguely outdoor or boat related is welcome.

Heavy emphasis on the "hang out" part. This is a casual event. No real schedule, no itinerary or rigid agenda.

First up on the agenda - we should plan out some feasts.

Friday Night pregame dinner:
- @clarkman - wings!
- Myself - Realizing my plan for pizzas is ambitious given my itinerary that day. Current new plan is to charcoal grill some coho fillets.

Saturday Breakfast:
Community effort - planning in progress (I did like the breakfast burrito idea)

Saturday BBQ:
I will bring a smoker and do some smoked pork, sausages and chicken. (need someone to volunteer for sides)
Sides:
Matt B - Cole Slaw

These are the three main ones.

That dude with the Bronco’s cup looks suspect…

I’m not much of a camp cook but I’m hell on dishes. Although I could smoke a brisket and bring it along.

Is that a spread of bamboo in one of those pictures? I could bring a couple if that’s something we do.

Yeah I was just thinking about that. Most of the spots are already "sold out" and there isn't any other registration required. But I may do an RSVP type thing as we get closer just so we know roughly how many are attending.
Lmk if anyone with a boat/trailer slot cancels. I only have a car slot but am thinking I’ll probably bring my drifter.

I'm only gonna show up if @Matt B brings his boat. 😆

This'll be fun. I'll have several glass rods that need new homes. Probably bring some tiger flies to give away too.

Once it gets closer, I'll figure out some food stuffs ...definitely will be prepping some wings again.

I'll bring my bamboo rods! And will cook something in advance and be ready to cook or help out if needed..no windows though.. maybe I'll help with the dishes if they're paper plates!! 😄

I'll also have my Dutch oven and stuff for a dump cake and maybe biscuits!

I’m not planning on bringing that darn thing. If I bring any fishing floaties, it’ll probably be my Commander.

please do!

I'll likely be bringing both my Stealth Pro and my Scout.

Signing up for a Saturday side. Maybe cole slaw to go with all the meat.

First up on the agenda - we should plan out some feasts.

Friday Night pregame dinner:
- I am tentatively planning to whip up some Detroit style pizzas. I'd parbake them at home since I can't reliably transport dough and hope the outdoor temp is right for having it rise. Won't degrade the quality though. I'll build them and freshly bake the completed pizzas there.

Saturday Breakfast:
(awaiting volunteers)

I'll look into making stuff to make breakfast burritos Saturday morning and I'll do make Lonnie's baked beans and some fried potatoes to add for BBQ dinner
