I downloaded an app called Merlin yesterday for bird identification. Haven't played with it much but it was recommended by a woman I met yesterday who was birding and shooting pictures with her friendsFirst warbler in my backyard – Orange-Crowned Warbler

Mosquito landed on me on Sunday. It also got squished. Made me think that I wasn't even carrying mosquito repellent with me this time of year. But I was wrong; it was in my pack.Mosquito landed on me last night. It got squished.
Heard a story of a very novice photographer that was dropped off in bear country. The pilot and other guy asked if he had any bear protection. He said no, so they gave him some bear spray. As they flew to there spot they saw him wiping his face and neck furiously! He thought that bear spray way like bug spray and sprayed himself all over! Sad and funny at the same time! Don't do that!! Seriously!Mosquito landed on me on Sunday. It also got squished. Made me think that I wasn't even carrying mosquito repellent with me this time of year. But I was wrong; it was in my pack.
Something about that says “fly” to me more than “bee,” but still… pollinators.
Granted it’s a poor and out of focus camera pic’, but it is of a honey bee on heather.Something about that says “fly” to me more than “bee,” but still… pollinators.
