What are you listening to?

I got some things done this week. I resorted a couple thousand lps , since I need to have my TT maintinance done. I write a lot of poems and lyrics but have never played instruments really - gave my couple crummy guitars to my youngest daughter who seemed to have a natural inclination for song writing and the guitar. Long ago Elaine surprised me by saying she wanted me to hear something she had been working on. So wandered into the sanctity of my 15 yr old daughters room and she played me an acoustic version of PF “wish you were here” I managed not to lose it, being the sprinkler waited to be turned on thatI am. Anyway this is a long preface for the punch line from today-
After my dailey walk i considered how my kees were doing. My right is going to be treated with some physical therapy. I assume similar to the exercise I do dailey for my should and upper back . Hell it works well! Anyway back to my non instrument playing . I noted today that with every step my right knee clicked audibly with a not unpleasant rythm. I can play knee!

When Lowell George of Little Feat passed away . There was a big stir of whether Robert Palmer of Vinegar Joe would be interested in being Little Feats vocalist so this lp was dort of a test run.

Pilin' on @Matt B 's post, because something about non-ratiometric, largely irrational intervals completely foreign to modern western musical notation is fuckin' awesome. Bonus points for a rockin' guitbass n' drum groove in 7/8 time.

Bummed the KEXP team didn't interview them. Where's Cheryl Waters when you need her...

This is a tough one to find or is it afford. 35-40 years ago I happened across them in portland after work at the base of the Park blocks … can’t remember the restaurant and bar
