Congrats to the Hawks. That D is all time. Sure hope they have a lot of FAs looking to cash in.

That said that was the most boring SB I can remember that wasn't a total blowout.

I mean, he didn't exactly have to do much. When a QB is less deserving of the MVP trophy than the kicker its not good...

The team around him is just that good, so he didn't have to. Entire postseason with no turnovers. He did fine.
 
Stoked to see the win! Very unexpectedly enjoyable season. I mean, I felt like the hawks were a team on the way up, but not quite this fast!

Defense was amazing. Didn't let their foot off the gas until garbage time. Very few mistakes and some amazing plays. Special teams could easily get the SB MVP between Meyers and Dickson. K9 was rolling, which was good because the passing game wasn't quite in sync today. But they did enough to win and that works for me.

Halftime show was fine. I'm always suspicious about anyone who YELLS VERY STRONGLY about such a nothingburger of a topic. If we're being honest, we'll admit that SB halftime shows are all kinda the same. Completely depends on how interested you are in the music. If you like the genre/artist, you'll say it was great. If you don't, you'll complain that it was terrible. There's no artist on earth who will please everyone in a situation where hundreds of millions are watching. And when the NFL has tried, it's been terrible (i.e. 2000 SB).

I'm only passingly familiar with Bunny's music, but it was catchy and upbeat. You don't move 130M album units by making crappy music. I was quite into the mambo flavor horn line stuff. The Lady Gaga part had quality throwback style to it. I didn't recognize Ricky Martin when he was on the screen, but the guy sure isn't looking his age. And as always, it was produced impressively. How they get that stuff on/off the field in the few minutes they have to make it happen remains one of the most fascinating aspects of the SB.

Boring game? Maybe so. And one can argue that Hawks have two of the more boring SB wins. I mean, sure, we all loved the SEA/DEN bootstomping. But the rest of the country was less interested in watching a blowout. On the other hand, Hawks also were a part of one of the most exciting SBs also. It just wasn't a win.

Good game, good season, go Hawks, and now I'm happy to not think about football for a few months.

Now this listening to fireworks and horns in my hood. Took tomorrow am off too though my big drinking celebrations are over. I’ll have a wee lie and an a nice breakfast and tie some flies.

Bad Bunny's music isn't really my cup of tea, but that halftime show was outstanding.... IMO

I've gotta be honest- as a game this was one of the more boring ones I have watched. 4 field goals and no touchdowns till the 3rd quarter. But winning another superbowl takes me back to being 12 after Super Bowl XLVIII and seeing everyone around me so ecstatic about our home team winning. What really left a life long memory for me tonight was driving home and seeing some kids on the sidewalk holding a "12" flag waving it, I gave some celebratory honks and they all got so happy. The Seahawks have given all of us in the Northwest something to be happy about.

This team has real chemistry, likeable players, spirit, and they delivered. I can't wait to watch them again next season!

The only thing that would have made it better is to have beaten the Donkeys...

I don't get the impressions of the game being boring. A need for constant or frequent touchdowns is shallow viewership, IMO. That's how I thought about it when I didn't understand football, or sports in general. Two good offfensive teams met two powerhouse defenses. The dynamic tension was relentless.

I am an extremely casual football watcher trying to get more into it. I do think I would've appreciated this game more if I had a deeper understanding of defense
