The article does a good job of highlighting some of the problems. The system is so broken I don't know how it gets fixed in the near term. I'm old enough to remember when the NCAA and PAC10 had enough teeth to kill a UW dynasty in the 90's over peanuts. Enforcement was inconsistent then, but at least there was the threat of enforcement to try to keep schools and players in line. It's just the wild west now. The only way to build a program now is to steal from another. Hopefully at some point we can have a system that is better than the annual free agency we are seeing now, but I'm not hopeful it will be better in the next 5 years.

I think the stellar play was the Duck's defense. Trying to give credit where credit is due. Hopefully it will be stellar again against Indiana who is favored in this upcoming game. GO DUCKS !
 
No enforcement body, no enforcement....

Maybe SE(C)SPN can step in, as they appear to be running things.

No doubt the Oregon D played great.
My point is going all in on NIL to build your roster isn’t always going to guarantee a championship. It worked for Ohio State last year. It didn’t this year for the big spenders like Ohio State and Texas Tech.

I long for the days of amateurism with Keith Jackson calling the game with 'big uglies' - his nickname for large lineman. I know we are never going back but it was much more enjoyable for me. Don't watch much now.

I think after his agent dropped him he came to realize he got some terrible advice.
Personally, I’ll have a tough time rooting for him after the timing of his chump move.

Poor kids. So many who have done well and all that get some bad advice from who and who. Then they realize what is going on. BEING USED IS HARD TO ADMIT TO. it’s also hard to come back from. Leave. Do not play again for UW …UW is a school of higher learning. Let him learn the greatest lesson ever. … and others…that lesson being the truth.

I’m considering entering the transfer portal myself. I heard the NIL market for 65 year olds is picking up steam! 😂

I hear ya...you could go from transfer portal, straight to grad assistant, and 2 years later head coach !!!

I still have all 4 years available, so if Covid hits again, and I redshirt a year, I could be playing into my 70's !!!

Seriously though, the only loyalty there is in College sports is to the dolla' dolla' bill, so I think they should start paying the fans.

A dolla' and I'll holla'...so to speak.
