Probably talking north of 3 million for Williams.Meh...
Contracts aren't worth too much, and all they can do is spend money in court, and in no way can they force him to play, sit out maybe but even that's unlikely I'd guess.
Seems like this happened already in the NOL era, can't remember the uoutcome
Make that a big bag of Dick’s.
Texas Tech just payed $5 million for their new QB. Hopefully if they get back into the CFP, they’ll score more than zero.

I meant those contracts aren't airtight enforceable at this point, and the ensuing court cases will probably drag on for a while, further illustrating just how screwed up the rollout for the latest iteration of pay to play has been.
The Red Raiders scored 34 against BYU to win the big 12. They scored in the 30's and 40's against every team on their schedule with the exception of Arizona St. So why did they get shutout in the Orange bowl? Sure as hell wasn't because of QB issues.Make that a big bag of Dick’s.

I get it. I’ve heard there is language in the contracts that specify you can’t enter the transfer portal, but I can’t confirm that. There is probably a judge somewhere that would rule against that. It would be interesting to see an actual signed NIL contract. It sure seems like a super secret process. It would seem situations like this are going to keep the terms and conditions in the contracts changing over time. It’s basically the Wild West now.
I guess my point is that people keep referring to the players as “kids”. The fact is they are over 18, have representation and are signing legal documents. If you or I sign a contract and don’t fulfill it, we are likely to get sued and face consequences. I don’t know how much teeth these contracts have in them, but there needs to be some guidelines for everyone to follow.
Folks complain about coaches leaving, but their contracts also include buyout clauses.
Why can’t players NIL contracts also have these? I don’t want him back playing for the Dawgs since he’s shown he doesn’t want to be here, but it would be nice if LSU, Miami or whoever poached him had to kick is some $$$$ to get him out of the signed contract.
It will be interesting to see how this plays out.

He was a senior too. So someone new has to step in. I guess you can spend some big coin or develop young kids. But then they leave if they don’t play right away.
