Rain

4+ inches forecast at our place in the next 3 days. 12+ in parts of the upper watershed. Good chance we'll lose a tree or two to the crick this week.

Where did you find this? Wondering if there is somethng similar for SW WA and the Columbia/tribs.

It’s a site I like to check out for snow levels.
There is probably something similar for your area.

I can not remember the last time a program, especially MNF, was interrupted with a flood alert warning. Must be nasty near Goldbar.

And now towns near the falls...

Saw this on another site.
Radar image from around noon showing the Olympics rain shadow. Can confirm, very little rain at my place from mid morning on.

Here's the latest experimental Risk of Heavy Precipitation going out to December 24. Northern California and Southern Oregon have been dry for quite awhile but what we really need is snow in the Cascades. There's zero snow at the Crater Lake Visitor's Center - last year on this date there was 50".

Yeah next week isn't great...but cooler towards the end of the week at least.

Like many things, I’m hoping the predicted flooding turns out to be a non event versus a Danger Jim Forman moment!

Danger Jim Foreman was the reporter for several fires and I had to deal with him.

He did believe in "ambush" interviews!!

He and the King 5 satellite truck almost got trapped in the Tyee Fire and he was my responsibility. I was glad that he survived, since I didn't want to answer all those questions of why I let the media into that area.

On the other hand, it might have been worth it.
