I guided Coach Cable on Potholes back in 2012/13…I don’t remember the exact year, but he was still the OL coach for the Hawks at the time. When he booked the trip the outfitter gave me a heads up that he didn’t want to talk ball. He wasn’t a talker anyway but he loosened up during lunch and I asked him what Russ was like in real life. All he said was, “we like him on Sunday’s”. He said it in an away that let me know that I shouldn’t ask a follow up and that he hated Russ.
