Can you find this recipe - Matt's Auto Cad - ?

Just got back from three days on the Missouri River, Holder Dam to Cascade. Pretty tough fishing -- lots of weeds and shut-mouthed trout. On the third day there was a fly that did better during what was still a very sub-par day by Missouri River standards. That fly was a #16 Matt's Auto Cad.

I've done several searches and all I can find is a Yellowstone Flies, a wholesaler that sells this pattern. Perhaps those with better internet detective skills can find the recipe and/or who "Matt" is, so I can try to contact him. I expect this pattern would well wherever there's selective trout. Thanks for any info you all can find! Here's a well chewed sample:

Looking at the pic I’d say

hook - Scud #16
thread - 8/0 black
tail - black hackle fibers or moose hair
rib - small wire gold
body/flashback (thorax) - medium tinsel opal
thorax - Ice Dub peacock
bead - 3/32 gold

If it’s not exact, it’s close enough for those trout.

ps - how bad were the weeds? Was thinking about going over there for a few days next week if I don’t winterize my trailer.

I did well there with a similar fly a while back. I eventually dumbed it down because we were running through them, but it was a small scud hook, eventually left the tail off and didn't seem to matter, opal or pearl flashabou or whatever for body w/ no wire wraps, couple wraps of peacock herl for thorax, your choice of bead. So basically three materials if you count the bead.

Or get fancier and add flourishes back in.

Tail - Zlon tail/shuck
Ribbing - gold wire
Body - Chartreuse holographic tinsel or floss
Thorax - Black ice dubbing
