Go Bison !!

After a somewhat lackluster year last tourist season, the Bison are looking for a more productive year in 2025.
' Frankly, we were not on our game' said Bison coach Buffalo Bob. ' We were outdone by both Grizz and even some snakes....that won't be happening this season'.
Bison have gotten off to a quick start, while their archrival the Grizz seem to be just now getting moving, after a long hibernation.
Both sides are worried about the downturn in international travel, and the potential for less tourons, however they hope drunks, their number one source of points, will again keep them in the news.

I add 30-45min to my almost weekly drive to Beaver from June onward. Or do the drive very early in the AM before the tourons in the RV's and Sprinters hit 101.

The over under for Bison maulings this year is 5.5

The NPS would generate a lot of revenue if they would just ticket and levy a hefty fine to anyone that violated the 25 yard/100 yard rules no excuses. Unfortunately, NPS personnel are trained to be kind and magnanimous to tourons. It wouldn't take long for the word to get out. Ignorance, which abounds in tourons is no excuse.

I read the article and was shocked that the recommended minimum distance to a bison was a mere 25 yards. That seems way too close.

25 yards is fine as long as you can swim.

However, in the spring when cows are with new borns all bets are off.

My family camped in Yellowstone maybe 20 years ago or so. I thought it very surreal on a cold day driving along the Firehole river watching fly fishermen and bison together while the steam was coming off the river.

Not trying to dispute your point, but if the possible penalty of becoming a bison hood ornament isn't a deterrent, I fail to see how a few buck fine will matter. Stupid rarely thinks through consequences...

Frankly, the best solution is to remove the distance requirement and let bison do bison things.

Well, they can be a bit judgmental.
May not have been the truck, Bison are human haters at heart, goes back to that whole extermination attempt in the 1800's.
Bison never forget...

Nice to see the Bison getting off to a quick start. Florida man got them on the board, and now Jersey Shore dude puts another one up for the Bison. The smaller than average crowds aren't stopping this year's Bison team. 'Weneed to get a lot of early scoring, as the Bears tend to be good at late season comebacks when hyperphagia sets in' said Bison coach Buffalo Bob. ' Our team is out, ready and prowling the park for early season pickups, any scores before school is out are important' he continued. ' The Bears scoring picks up with the garbage from tourons, and so as herbivores, we need to get out to an early lead.'.

Go Bison !!!
