I gave my pram a break….the weather/water temps are warm enough for my pontoon boat. The pram needs some TLC this spring.

As a tender motor it was fantastic. Quiet, good battery life, and enough power to anchor out and slow motor 4 plus dog for brews and chews. Haven’t fished it yet but at trolling speed it should last several miles and hours. I’m guessing top end is around 7 kts, so it’s not a speed boat. But it can launch easily (I think) and you could run 2 to 4 miles, fish a tide, maybe 2, and get back with confidence. How do you like the torqeedo?
I remember you fashioned a push pole but it's hard to musky fish and pole your "skiff" for carp! ;-) Glad you got your motor issue resolved. No power issues today! And cleaning the pond scum off the hull has me up to a top speed of 35mph. I'll take it. The previous owner's 2023 battery did well on the bow mount. Used it hard for a few hours and it still had half a tank according to the old Minn Kota Powerdrive.
The clouds never relented today so no carp in the boat. I did have a brief shot. I was bass fishing along the east side of an island to get out of the wind. So the visibility was pretty good. I had a tanker carp cruise past. About 10 minutes later I was thinking "I really should put the bass rod down and just start looking for carp. And there they were... 2 trophy carp, BOTH tailing with their faces in the dust.
And one was a mirror.
I got one cast before they both spooked since the boat was drifting towards them. I didn't dare hit the foot pedal to try and avoid them as that would've spooked them even sooner. And my cast wasn't good enough.
No musky either. Only fish today was a little smallie. The boat is no longer skunked.![]()

Nice!Took it out to my local power lake to test the new fuel line and filter. Amazing how they run just a tad better if they're actually getting fuel.
It ran perfect with no stumbles all through the rpm range. At WOT it hit 34 mph at about 5800 max rpms which is right in the correct range of 5500-6000. I'm happy now.![]()
It wouldn't surprise me. It's a fairly common issue if you have a fuel hose that has an inner liner.Nice!
My Yamaha runs great but it does stutter sometimes punching full throttle from low, I wonder if my fuel line could be the cause..it’s over 10yrs old.
replace the line, and also consider running a can of Sea Foam through it. My last boat had a 40hp Merc that despite a full tune, line, filters, etc, occasionally stumbled, ran a can of Sea Foam through it, end of issue.Nice!

I have a pair with the shoal cut blades. I recommend them if you often find yourself in shallow water.Really nice oars. I got the Dyno X. Gonna be a few weeks but worth the wait. Hopefully the last oars I ever buy.

had to be your fave to gift him a Koffler...I gave one of mine a new home. My favorite Nephew is coming in today. When he leaves, he'll be hauling my Koffler pram back to Montana where it will see lots of beneficial use on sacred waters by the next generation of Nephews.
