Just to help some of us plan ahead a bit: Is there any gear you want to swap for or swap out? What are you looking to offload or acquire?

I feel like there's some of us that have a lot more gear we want to offload than acquire, so may help us decide what to take or leave at home.

I'm bringing to trade (work in progress):
  • Knives and accessories (including a Spyderco Sharpmaker)
  • Fishing chest pack
  • Valentine Planetary reel with spare spool (not sure I want to let this go)
  • Random fly fishing gear
  • Good quality outdoor clothes
  • I have an excess of size 10 shoes and boots, any interest?
  • Fisknat net

I'm interested in trading for:
  • Knives
  • Rods (maybe)
  • Ross CLA reels
  • Take flexible stripping basket
  • Unusual tying materials
  • Good quality outdoor clothes, size XL or XXL
  • ?? What have you.

Might dig around and bring a few extra rods and some random fly-tying stuff. Interested in knives too if anything cool shows up.

I don't even know where to begin on what I have. Kind of why I'm hoping to get some inspiration on what to bring/leave behind.

- I have TONS of dirtbag gear from all categories. Literally - small trout to offshore to steelhead... trolling, casting, spinning.. I have extras of it all.

- Lots of spey stuff. I have several setups that would be great starter Skagit setups.

- The misc tackle, lines etc I have is way beyond what I care to list out here.

Wants:
- I'll definitely be looking at Zak's knives. Hoping to find a decent fixed-blade with holster for the upcoming deer/elk season.

I'm looking for:
  • A bamboo rod
  • Musky flies
  • Interesting flies
  • Spey stuff
  • A freeze dryer (but I know that's a very long shot)

I'll be bringing to trade:
  • A wood rod tube I made out of leather, brass, sapele and maple(?) that will fit a 9' 9wt or smaller.

  • A 14' 9wt Orvis Mission Spey Rod that's never been fished or test cast.
  • A Lowrance Hook 5 fish finder with sonar thingy that @Evan B says is a transducer, cables, etc.
  • A Take Flexible stripping basket (Not entirely sure why I have three of them)
  • Some waist packs (Fishpond, etc) and slings.
  • Other stuff I can't think of at the moment. Maybe some antique hunting knives if I can find them.

EDIT: Apparently it's not a "transponder". Correction made...kinda.

I don't think any fish finders have transponders. I think the word you're looking for is "transducer" ;)

I'm interested in the bivy sack.

I might be parting with a nice spin/gear rod that I really don’t need. Probably some tying materials, maybe some camping stuff, fly line, surplus knives. I’d be interested to see what shows up in size 10 footwear.

I'll bring several pairs of used but good size 10 footware. When my much loved Vasque Sundowner hiking boots gave up the ghost, I tried out a few replacements before settling on a pair.

I'll have a rod or two, probably some lines, definitely a few musky flies.

I already have too many... But which jig rods?

I got you.

12wt line is a 450gr SA intermediate something that I can't remember except that it's got the 50 or 60lb core to it. Not sure if that's enough grain weight, but you're more than welcome to check it out.

and the other....well,.....

I have a pretty large collection of fly tying and flyfishing books. Some old/rare. Also a stack of Fly Tyer magazines (lots of cool fly recipes and step-by-steps in those).

If there's any interest in reading and reference material, I could bring some with me. If you've been looking for a book, let me know and I'll tell you if I have it.
