What are you listening to?

 
I went to see Jake Xerxes Fussell play to a very appreciative but not large crowd in Tacoma this week and I’m still thinking about it. So good.

Side note. I spent years trying to find the original art work for the almost acoustic album and found that a guy in west Seattle had it in his collection. It was even better to see in person. Very inspiring but I declined to buy.

I just got turned onto an incredible French musician named Mathias Duplessy. He's a guitar and violin virtuoso who is also a throat singer (world music fans might know what that is). His 'band' is called Violins of the World. He combines various different styles into something very compelling. He dis a cover of Brothers in Arms that moved me to tears:

He didn't connect with me but, I can see the brothers in arm vibe. Mark Koffler is maybe the most unique songwriter/musician/guitarist of the last 40 years.
