Quick report from the last day to fish a small Southern Oregon river.
The river was flowing just about double the ideal flows to fish, but the color was decent, so my buddy and I decided to float on the last day the river is open. It was pretty cold the night before so we got a very nice view of snow in the tree line right above us.
We didn’t get any steelhead but caught a few resident Coastal Cutts that were absolutely beautiful, all caught on the swing. This river has very poor access so I was excited to get to float it and see some new parts of the river


Apologies for the fish handling in the second pic, I slightly slipped and the fly pulled the fishes jaw very briefly, the picture looks worse than what actually happened
