The original knife thread.

You're killing me with the last photo--all those blades touching
They're all in the knife holder now! It's plastic and needed cleaned in the dishwasher. All is good! Rest easy! Cheers!

I’d like to get a new knife for cleaning beach coho. Here is my current one, which is 7” long in length which works well for size fitting in my pack. The clip has rusted off due to saltwater.
Any recommendations for a small, saltwater safe knife?

Funny you should ask that and post a photo of this one.

I just ordered the following saltwater-safe knife for my own beach cleaning needs. Very similar to what you have, but rust proofier?: Spyderco Pacific Salt 2

Edit: Forgot part of the name.

I picked up this knife a couple years back and really like it. I haven;t cleaned a fish with it yet but it has a slender "bird and trout" type of profile.

Wouldn't you want more of a fillet knife? Or is this just to bleed and gut the fish? Then put in a cooler and fillet at home...

You ought to--they're delicious. Even pinks (quickly bled and smoked) and chum (cooked chum makes great dog food).
I'll make Herbie some dog food!! He'll follow me home.
