What Are You Eating?

Bummer Judy….is your favorite your casting or writing arm? (Same?) I’ve had eight operations and seven non operable things happen to me…so far. My right wrist is fused……and the worst thing about it is wiping with the opposite hand!! Get well soon, Spring fishing season is coming up!

Same, darn it ¡ Kaiser treats me well. Break was below wrist, inside bone. Hope a cast will take care of the problem. 1st time breaking a major bone.

Oh, Cousin with ALASKA Air sent me a text. Salmon season is emergency closed, but I don't know where.

My right wrist was broke in the eighth grade when two friends were throwing basketballs at each other. One ran behind me and I didn’t see the ball coming and it snapped my wrist backwards. I just thought it was sprained so I didn’t do anything about it. A few years later in high school, PE weight lifting it hurt so my mom took me for some X-rays, broken but it healed wrong. At that time early 70’s all they could do was rebrake it…..tuff guy said no thanks and they just put a cast on it. That cast didn’t last long….I played tackle football, snow skied, rode dirt bikes then construction work, and yes it hurt but my back hurt worse! So my back is fused at L-4/5 S1 and a few years later I had to have my wrist fused. On a funny note, while I was in PSFF fly club, Jason Borger came for a presentation and we told him I’m so into fly casting/ fishing I had my wrist fused for better casting!
I heard that chinook are in trouble …….

Didn't take any pics, but a lack of dinner plans and losing track of time last night resulted in taking a jar of home canned albacore, mixed it up with some egg, green onion, garlic and some other spices, grated Parmesan, and some crushed smoke flavored pork rinds. Made patties and into the air fryer. For my wife I made sandwiches on onion buns, and I just ate the patties with a fork. Super tasty. Looking forward to leftovers tonight.

crushed pork rinds...i'm liking that...I may try that instead of panko...

Due to diabetes I have to severely limit simple carbs, so pork rinds has become my go to when I need some crunch.

Pork rinds have come a long ways since I was a kid. There's some real high quality stuff out there, and some very cool flavors. My wife buys tubs of crushed rinds at Walmart. Very handy. Like a tub of panko. I use them in place of breading for things like this or a fish fry or something. I like it quite a bit.

Chili relleno plate from Railbertos in Everett. So good.

Ralibertos is the best, their beef tacos are amazing as well as the breakfast burritos. They have the best hot sauces to boot, the green is to die for and the red is smokey n delicious, both can be very very hot some days but it never stops me!

Their hot sauces are too hot for me! But I was raised on New England boiled dinners, so I've come a long way just to enjoy hatch green chilis and Chalula.

I do like rolling the dice on whether the poblanos in the rellenos will have any heat

My tolerance has greatly improved the last 10yrs just due to their hot sauce. I never liked tacos as a kid, now I cant live without them LOL.
I've probably have oreder 3000-4000 tacos from them for my crews at work during that time. 100-150 per order, they are such a great shop!

Using up eggs and veg! Made too much of course but like to do so and wrap the leftovers into tortillas for a quick and easy breakfast when I don't feel like cooking!

Used a fantastic Smokey cheddar that is the highlight of the omlete!
