I'd probably lose a lot of cool points if I got an auto and went upland bird hunting.trading my Wingmaster and a $100 in the mid 70's for a Browning A-5 turned out to be a stellar move, never went back to a pump after that.

They’re hard to beat, make sure it has interchangeable chokes and it’s very versatile. Never a glitch with either one, the 16 is a great grouse gun. I bought a short barrel for the 12 for turkey…I'm really leaning toward a used BPS.
This one has my eye currently.@Evan B , both Invector and Invector chokes can be had if one is missing on a used gun.
It has a bit of “patina” but it will shoot…
Gotta start somewhere. It's a bit over budget but I'm trying to convince myself it's worth it.It has a bit of “patina” but it will shoot…
@Guy Gregory brings up a very valid point. Shotgun fit is important. The right drop at heel and length of pull is critical to a good cheek weld. Nothing beats being able to shoulder a gun to see if it fits and buying online is a crap shoot. One can always check one out at a Cabelas…Frankly, there’s s lotta good pumps and autos out there. Im a sucker for fine sporting equipment, and I love my SBE II. But whether it costs $200 or $30000, if it doesn’t fit, you won’t shoot it for shit. Get one that fits.
You’re on the right path, keep searching…There's an actual good pawn/gun shop by me. Was super bummed this bottom eject Ithica was a fixed full choke.

I'm kinda considering grabbing one to start hitting the gun club down the street while I wait for "the one" to come around . We have a teenager who wouldn't mind it after I grab my one I really want.friend who has many shotguns says it's hard to go wrong with CZ or Stoeger on the budget end

Not so sure about the CZ. My CZ manage to fire both barrels with only one pull of the trigger. Quite the surprise and kick for a 20 gauge. I’m about to find out how well CZ’s customer service is.friend who has many shotguns says it's hard to go wrong with CZ or Stoeger on the budget end
I grew up with this shotgun in 20 gauge. Still have it.There's an actual good pawn/gun shop by me. Was super bummed this bottom eject Ithica was a fixed full choke.
