Sunny and warm in Redondo Beach. BUT: The first "atmospheric river" is supposed to arrive Tuesday..................No snow in the Puyallup valley, a little sprinkle of rain but that's been it.
I'm surprised you didn't say your tractor was riding like my bucking Toyota Tacoma death-trap!There was about 6'' of snow here on the frozen tundra a couple of days ago followed by rain that reduced it down to around 4'' of heavy mush. On Sunday I spent over 2 hours on the tractor moving it out of the way to make room for the UPS truck to get in. It was a tough job since the tractor has no springs and it is like riding a bucking bronco at times over the frozen ground. But eventually I got a path cleared and was grateful to have a sunny day to do it on. About 8:30 PM I got a text from Krusty saying that it had started to snow in Spokane so I checked outside to see what was going on up here. Nothing, the moon and planets were out and it seemed like a pleasant evening. At 11:17 before going to bed I checked again and it was snowing heavily. This morning there are several more inches of snow on my freshly plowed turf. Dang! Start over time for the plowing.
Blue skies again today with no precipitation in the forecast until the 13th. However, I have had to cancel the Super Bowl trip I was going to make to visit friends in the Gorge and Vancouver as they receive a hit from the atmospheric river bearing in from the southwest. The weather down there looks awful with rain or snow for the next 15 days, not a good time for an old man to make a 900 mile round trip for sure. I don't give a rip about the game but wanted to see the friends I have had for over 40 years now. Double Dang!!
Bring it on!!!Oh yes... more winter to come! This is my house today... and more to come

More falling now...
Check in closer to the SB. No ice on 84 through the Gorge. Unless things change dramatically you should be able to visit your friends. The next 15 days aren't looking bad at >200'.However, I have had to cancel the Super Bowl trip I was going to make to visit friends in the Gorge and Vancouver as they receive a hit from the atmospheric river bearing in from the southwest. The weather down there looks awful with rain or snow for the next 15 days...
Thanks Shawn! Keep up the good work. You asked you got it...
Tranquil.............Oh yes... more winter to come! This is my house today... and more to come
