Pizza query

Very very interested in your report out after you've put it through its paces. I've been sooo close to pulling the trigger on a Gozney for a couple years now. Just could quite get past the price even though (as my wife pointed out) I spend more on other things with less utility (to her) without a second thought...

What are you doing for dough and sauce?
I plan on using both. My daughter is a culinary institute trained baker and although she doesn't know squat about fixing up old boats she does know her way around a baking oven and has been making various pizza doughs for years so I have some guidance there and I have long made my own various Italian style red sauces so that is not exactly rocket surgery. And heck all I have to do is please Salmo and that is obviously not an insurmountable gastronomic challenge.

This thread gets 9/10 from me, only marked down b/c it’s NFR and wasn’t marked as such and OMJ ain’t here and nobody has said nuthin about that. So I just did. Otherwise, it’s almost as good as Domino’s pizza. It delivers.

A bunch of us eat pizza for lunch, or dare I say it... breakfast, on fishing excursions.

I do not see any reference to a burger, gourmet or not, in your original post.

It is fun to see other POV's on pizzas.

As with all opinions on food, it is based on personal preferences.,

I started my pizza journey by making pizzas on my grill after watching an episode of Good Eats many years ago: Grilled Pizza Three Ways . It was a good way to start for me without the outlay for a pizza oven. I eventually acquired an Uuni Pro pizza oven when it first came out (before they changed their name to Ooni) and haven't looked back.
 
Did I mention that I love pizza? Just ring that pizza dinner bell, and I'll be there like Pavlov's dog. Why I might even get some bottled wine from the cellar for the occasion. I need an edjumacation about how high heat makes the better crust. I forgot to mention that I order thin crust from PM's, watching my carb loading and all.
 
I make my own sauce but if you need to use store bought give this stuff a try. Mighty good.
