Did I hear correctly that the 49ers are considering Pete Carrol for OC? I thought that's what I heard in a quick clip of a newscast last night. That's beyond incredible if true. Shouldn't a 73 year old multi-millionaire consider retirement and go fishing? And especially, why would any team want an OC whose standard play is "run up the middle" for less than 4 yards a carry? (Unless you get lucky and have Beastmode on your team?)

OC seems odd. He came up as a defensive coach.
 
Carrol could still coach as a bridge/culture builder for a franchise in need...there's more than one of those in the NFL.
 
Ya knew he'd get a job somewhere...
 
It'll be easy for Pete to improve the Raiders record, what with 4 wins this year.

Don't think coaching was the Raiders' problem, they had 2 head coaches over the past several years who had them playing some competitive football (then fired them), their problem is they don't have a starting QB, unless they address that, PC may be SL (short lived).
