Brought this Hawaiian Ti tree back from Maui when I did Xterra in 2000 as little dry piece in a bag. Had a little dirt so I topped this pot off when we moved. Got a new shoot working it's way up.

It’s finally starting to get a little cold, but I see some things, like my little flowering peach tree, have already pushed out tiny buds. I might have to finally bring the geraniums and fuschia into the garage to see if they’ll overwinter. Ta ta, 2024.

i have a lot of begonias other tender bulbs to possibly dig up and store in my heated greenhouse to over winter through past efforts are unevenly rewarded

where did you find this, I want one and I'm not going to Australia.
It's sort of a specialty plant, but a good nursery can usually order one for you.
That one came from a wholesaler I use, I just checked and they are out currently.
Valley could probably get one for you (Poulsbo), but of course...Valley pricing...they would likely order it from Monrovia, as they grow several varieties.
Spring will be your best bet, as they are usually in stock by May, but never in large numbers that I have seen.

I have a ti tree, made from a cutting I took in Indonesia. There, they take a stalk of them, cut into 1' lengths, stick them in the ground, and stand back. They grow like crazy and within half a year you have an impenetrable barrier, complete with snakes, poisonous lizards, and bugs. I cut a chunk off my tree, put it in with my shipment (2001), got the shipment two months later, and put it into a pot. It's still there today, despite my best efforts to kill it.

But onto the subject of gardening, mine is pretty proscribed by small space and tall trees. I had a POS Mantis-style tiller that was given to me. I never liked it, and the engine casing broke in two, no big loss. I want a big rear tine unit but that's impractical for the couple hundred square feet I need to till. Anyway, I find that they go down about 4-5" So I gutted it out and used my garden fork on the entire bit, loosening the soil closer to a foot deep. I did this last year and the results were noticeable, with large and healthy plants. But what a chore to do.

Probably Prunus × subhirtella ‘Autumnalis Rosea', they are quite variable in bloom time, but one of the earliest to bloom. No real winter temps, and I see one that's usually going by February.
Odd year, have snapdragons still blooming in one garden, enough to cut a small bunch for Christmas. Cold temps next week will take care of all that nonsense though.

No rain...
😁

Lowest temp here in downtown Vancouver is about 38-40 degree

Well I bit the bullet and planted yesterday, last week we had 2 days of 29 for a low, I look at the extended weather and looks like 40 will be the lowest in the next week, I guess if I was worried about it I could always just go throw a tarp over them.
5 tomatoes
4 zucc's
4 cucumbers
5 shoshito peppers
60 walla walla onions not pictured.

I’ll be buying my tomatoes this week.
That will give me a month to get them established before they go into the pots.
