YupOn an EJack no less!
Got home from MX and have one day on the split and two days freeheelin' inbounds. Probably up tomorrow morning and then it's a wash until Sunday.
Yeah, I was hoping to take the kid up on Sat, but Fri night/Sat are looking like rain. And a lot of it.Probably up tomorrow morning and then it's a wash until Sunday.
TotallyI was up there too. Surprisingly great day considering how warm it was and how little snow. And the views were indeed terrific!
Good, because that wasn’t a ski in the photo. Just saying…Thread title changed. This will be our 24/25 season snow report convo.
Nice!Never say never. Can't believe I'm posting here. Skied from 5 to about 35, even taught at points. Wife and sons never showed interest so I just cross countried in my triathlon/cycling off-season. Well my son and dol did a snowboard lesson two days ago and liked it so they signed the grandkids up too. Got a call this morning to discuss my getting involved.
Well...... babysitting on the slopes and in the lodge, papa's on board. Think that's what I'm here for. Had to get some gear. I'll do both ski and snowboard rentals for a while till I get a feel for things again.
Will certainly cut into my fishing time, but really never thought I'd do this again.
God willing my back holds out, and maybe I'll be skiing the powder in the trees at Bluewood again. Just never know what the future has in store.
Bluewood is awesome, especially the tree skiing that you mentioned. I might head there tomorrow.Never say never. Can't believe I'm posting here. Skied from 5 to about 35, even taught at points. Our son wanted a snowboard for Christmas when he was about 10. I suggested we try renting first so we went to Spout Springs Ski Area in the Blues. He fell forward, backwards, and every direction. By lunch, he was whupped. One of his buddies from school was there skiing and told our son that skiing is much cooler. He never looked back. I’ve thought of trying it, but at my age, it’s not going to happen. Looking for a new set of skis though.Resisted all urges to trade the snowboard for skis, figured I'd just learn to do it. My quads hurt. Got to get in shape, maybe back on the bike.
I’ve always said that snowboarding is harder to learn, but easier to master. Our son wanted a snowboard for Christmas when he was about 10. The oldest has hinted all along he'd rather try skis. Of course each kid wants to do something different! Had to happen, we did run into his school buddy, on skis. By the end of the day though he was enjoying it.I’ve always said that snowboarding is harder to learn, but easier to master.

but the boots had turned brittle with age and they self destructed. You can see the missing left cuff. Shopping ensued.
I was skiing the gear I had before I got sober one day at Bluewood, about 10 years later, and one of my plastic boots just exploded! That's why I'm not skiing the K2's and boots I got now and just renting, don't trust them.Looks like time for new gear. Been there, done that.
