I have had (and intensively used) rowing machines for over 40 years. Wore some out in a few years. Total body workout.Being a good wife she probably deserves and would appreciate both.
Been upgrading.
Bought my wife a newer treadmill and bike for Christmas.
Now she wants a rowing machine.
Being a good husband I said yes dear.
Should I stick with a 16' Clackacraft for the Rockies or get a raft?
I vote both as no one vessel serves all needs.Been upgrading.

Good resale value, too!You can't go wrong with a Concept 2 ERG rower. They are built well and last a very long time. Their website has a lot of training videos as well. I agree with @Evan B that you should take the time to watch them. It will help in the long run.
I regret selling mine years ago! I sold it for exactly what I paid for it.Good resale value, too!

This all makes sense except for the gym membership part.Of course, you could just join Planet Fitness for $ 15/mo (they have rowing machines) and spend the money you save on both a drift boat and an Alaskan float trip.
I put a lot into our home gym. It was the best money I ever spent! It got both my boys to college and has kept my wife and I in shape for almost 10 years now. When the boys are home for breaks there can be as many as 4-5 college athletes working out any given time…puts a smile on my faceThis all makes sense except for the gym membership part.
Why do that when you could increase the value of your house and workout at
