Looking for Orvis pin spanner wrench

Just Hatched
A buddy of mine recently gifted me a couple of Orvis Hydros SLIV reels. They are really nice however they are currently set for left hand retrieve and I am a righty. According to Orvis, they came new with a special spanner wrench used to change the retrieve. Is there anyone that might have a spare one to give, loan or sell to me? Thanks in advance.

Call the Orvis store?

If you dont have a local Orvis store to walk into, try your local Fly Shop. They may be able to help you get the wrench and/or change the retrieve for you. I would imagine you could order it directly from Orvis too.

I have never had to deal with Orvis customer service before and must say that I am disappointed. My request to them was simple, do you have the Hydros SL spanner wrench available for purchase. The reply was that they have a limited supply of parts available and I would have to send my reel in to them to be sure that I got the right part. WTF! I did end up calling their Seattle store and spoke to Lucas. He had an easy solution. He said that he just uses his hemostats. I tried it and it worked great.

Thanks Brian. I did the same search with the same results. Orvis customer service was no help. They wanted me to send the reel to them just to swithch the retrieve.
