I wish we'd name these. Maybe we at PNW can give it a name.
Anyways, by Tuesday, a storm that would be classified a Cat 1 hurricane if it originated in another latitude will be just off the Washington coast.
Way back when, I used all that covid stimulus money to take out all my problem trees. Two ice storms later, and I'd say it's probably the best money I ever spent.Great. I’m not in the mood for this right nowhopefully the stilly valley doesn’t get hammered by too much wind. I have a bunch of big trees that are on my radar for being “problematic” in the right storm. I’d rather this isn’t that storm.
Crap.. you got meI'd name it "Reaching for content".
I mean, the carp aren't waking up for 6mo or so. I gots to do somethin!Generators. Weather. They get some clicks!
Might see if you can sell them as lumber? We had a few trees taken out a few years ago and ended up money ahead.Hopefully the wind will knock over the one tree thats holding up two other trees in my back acreage that I got quoted $4k to get taken out, it would be great if everything else stayed up though.

I feel attacked(or fishes dam flow controlled rivers, perhaps)
February 13th 1979 I was on a crab boat just south of Destruction Island and the forecast wasn't good. Every time we'd tap the barometer it would drop a HUGE amount. We ran gear until we couldn't and headed for the barn. Forecast turned out to be accurate and bucking into the 60 knot steady SW winds all the way back and across the closed Grays Harbor bar wasAlso, everyone knows fish don't bite when the barometer drops. And this barometer is gonna drop bigly.
