Trailer roller repair

After a weekend running up and down the deschutes access road, I got home and found that my trailer roller had shifted off the bearing. WTF.

I think part of the problem is that the rear bunk rotted out, so the boat was resting on the roller banging up the road. I’ll need to replace that as well.

My plan is to
- pop the boat off the trailer
- replace the bunks with trex
- shift the roller back on the bearing

Anything else I should be thinking about? Besides getting a new trailer?

On the bright side, I’ll have something for the what have you done for your boat thread….

The picture of the left side looks like there might have been a set screw that held the roller in place on the bearing? I see what looks like holes for this in both the roller and the bearing.
No set screws. Just checked

You may want to spot weld the bearing in place so it stays in place. A piece of trex bolted to a metal bar would make a slick, cushioned sturdy bunk

What I did was to a plastic bearing. I just saw that your bearing looks like it's metal.
My solution probably wouldn't work.
