I get the hint! GeezeWell I screenshotted nicks response for future reference so I’m ready if and when I get on a tuna boat. Thanks all.
I get the hint! Geeze
I have a 12, and a really stout one piece rod that was built as a loaner, that you could borrow. It comes with a reel and line.Well. You no longer have a 12wt, ha!
But I have an 11!Well. You no longer have a 12wt, ha!
Is this a good time to watch this again?
I’m jealous
Yes! Thank you for noticing. @Nick Clayton happens to love pickled eggs more than just about anything. This one was pickled in pepperoncini juice and Tabasco and had a nice neon green color. I wanted to make sure Nick got to at least get a taste of my 5am snack that I so considerately avoided bringing into his cabin. That is one weird looking tuna egg.......

Are some of you guys using stripping baskets?fiberglass? from several years ago...photo cred: @Nick Clayton
That's about as high of an angle that one should be doing with any material (although glass can take a bunch more)
That's an 8'3" Seele that's listed as a 12wt, but fishes more like a 14wt

I took it that time and a couple of other times. I'm still undecided if worthwhile...sure nice to not be stepping on the line while trying to cast, but it takes a bit to get stripping down, and even then may not be the best. Are some of you guys using stripping baskets?
I'll take one of those plz. In a 7.5 to 8'. This 9 footer crap is not for meBuilt-for-tuna fiberglass 12wt has entered the chat.
