Cell Phone Pics

wow…whaddaya know. That’s pretty cool, altho my is still unimpressed 😏

NICE!
I just pulled ours this morning and have all the plants spread out on a flat surface drying, looking forward to cleaning them up (and eating some garlicky food - my wife fixed gyoza a few days ago. I prepped about a dozen cloves of garlic for the meat mixture, more than she usually uses - sooooo good.)

I planted 150 cloves divided between 4 beds. I dug about 50 elephant garlic. Half had not cloved yet so I replanted them. The annual routine. Why you wonder? Full sun early and late some full in the middle of the day. Been doing this routine for a bunch of decades. My garlic does double duty as companion plants

First of the season, fresh picked wild mountain huckleberries.

Early. I miss picking them… 1000-2000’ red huckleberries blues and mountain blueberries above that to the 4500’ or so on the wet side but generally a bit later. Did that for 45 years. Too damn expensive with gas prices and commercial camps illegal stripping activities in Gifford Pinchot. My secret spots aren’t anymore. Beautiful picking!

Always thought sunrise and sunset on the Great Plains were some of the prettiest sights that we forget about because obviously mountains, oceans, valleys, deserts, etc, catch our eyes and get the brain to visualize the size and scope of nature and its beauty. Kadoka SD, eastbound I-90 at 8:50 PM this past June.

I like the plains, too....wouldn't wanna live there...but love to go there and 'just be' for a while. My wife and I spent a week at Teddy Roosevelt NP in early June. It took her a few days but she finally started to understand the draw.
