Cell Phone Pics

I can’t seem to get away from turtles since the beginning of spring. I’ve posted a bunch of photos of them on here, and I’ve been seeing different varieties regularly in all my travels from coast to coast. It’s been a little weird.
This first one was pretty good size, maybe 16” front to back. Biggest one was the snapping turtle we came across in Rhode Island that I posted last month. The strangest location I’ve ever seen one though was a few years ago way up the St. Joe River in a pool between sets of rapids in Idaho.

Wandering in the alley. And possible morgue file images to compose botanical paintings

Lavender hyssop planted at edge of alley garden to attract bees…those fuzzy bumblebees for pollinators. Queen Annes Lace aka rain flower. A plant that comes on in late July and has been an extremely challenging subject to paint.
