I forgot the Usual on my list! Great fly and no big worries if I decorate a few tree branches with them.

I have had good success with a parachute Madam X in recent outings. Kind of a pain to tie, but they float great and can suspend a bead head dropper for maximum lethality. Get bit a lot more than foam variants in my experience.

My humpies are a number of different colors: yellow, cream, red, orange, green or tan. And yes, I have a lotta humpies in my fly box but never too many...

Another vote here for the stimulator, orange or yellow. My favorite thing about this fly is that they’ll eat it dead drifted, skated or drowned and stripped like a streamer. Brook trout especially enjoy that fly fished a streamer. It works great all summer, and then in October it’s truly lights out. Possibly my favorite sea run cutthroat fly on the planet.

I’m a big fan of the Humpy style which using long moose hair can be crafted into a lot of different patterns. They float like corks.
