What's in your vise?

been having good luck with these early season, simple tie lake flies.
When glassy or little wind, the Blood Worm draw's a lot of attention.
And when the wind picks up enough to chop-activate a Balanced Leech, the raggedy Arizona Semi Seal 'Blood Leech' has been solidly outfishing the other BL's I've tried.

Nice
Have you tried their Baitfish Builder?
Interesting stuff. Coarse and easy to work with
I really like the stuff after swimming that all black with BB head. It holds up a little better than titan dub, just doesn't move quite as well.

I think they’ll wiggle like crazy if I can get the furl the right tension. The mop chenille is lively stuff stripped. And it’s hard to capture in photos but the Aussie possum really does interesting stuff wet. I don’t know much about streamers but I’m intrigued.

Ahhhh, much better picture... hope they swim well for you. All that flash won't hurt

About good IMG_3353.jpeg
Clear box are all tied on 2/0, 3/0 & 4/0 Ahrex Predator and Gama B10S, other than the bottom left corner which are Ahrex 2/0 swimbait with a 20 mm shank connected by #25 mono - fills the gap to just shy of the hook point, but moves out of the way easily.
Bottom box are hook and shank combinations, single hook only, some swimbait, more b10s & Ahrex clouser.

A lot of experimenting and variations of similar concepts. Looking forward to learning more about tying flies that swim by putting these in front of fish and swimming them. My boxes are open to my fishing buddy, I don’t want to be short…
A couple more evenings of tying before we’re off to Manitoba!
