Fly shop between Oly and Bellingham

Just Hatched
I'm driving I-5 to Bellingham tomorrow and have some free time to stop in and support our local fly shops near I-5 on my way up.

With the Fly Fisher closing in Lacey, I am especially interested in sharing some love with the local shops in WA.

Can you recommend a couple of the best, in terms of supplies (books too), near I-5, and a willingness to help out a relatively newbie?

Thanks much.

Avid Angler in LFP is easy to get to, take the 205th/Ballinger Exit, then stay on Ballinger heading east. Turn in to the mall parking lot before you get to the light at the bottom of the hill. Bottom level, front facing the lake, in the middle "corner". It's the one I always visit when in town.

Emerald Water Anglers is about an 8 minute drive off of I-5 in West Seattle, plus there's at least a dozen excellent lunch options right nearby it if that timing works for you.

Holiday sports in Burlington is right off I5 and while not a dedicated fly shop, they have great stuff.
Ehhhhh...

I like Holiday Sports and shop there regularly. But if someone is looking to "support local fly shops", I'd say Holiday doesn't really fit that bill. It is far FAR more of a gear/bait shop with some fly stuff.

Good people, fair prices, nice selection of fishing/outdoor gear, and indeed locally owned. But not a fly shop.

Avid and Emerald are both great shops to support as well.

Pacific Fly Fishers is my local shop in Lynwood/Mill Creek and it is pretty great!
